FIT brings innovations to Singapore

One company looking for opportunities in Southeast Asia is Fine Instruments, which develops solutions for various industries using nuclear magnetic resonance. The startup’s main market is the analysis of palm oil samples, offering information for the industry to increase productivity. In seven years it managed to reach 40% of the marketshare in Latin America, and they want to replicate this in Asia.

“The Singaporean market is focused on alternative meat, but it is still in its embryonic phase. So there are good opportunities for us, because they still don’t have process control” – Daniel Consalter, CEO.

Today, including palm oil, beer and oils and fats, the agri-food sector represents around 80% of the company’s sales.

“We understand these industries and how analytics apply to our clients’ businesses. We showed that the equipment, with all the built-in intelligence, pays for itself in around 3 months” – Lucas Topp, Operations Manager.
